words are silly

Regress
Ingress
Digress

Pro-, re-, in-, and di- are all prefixes. So does that mean that they are prefixes of the word gress? No. That’s because there is no such word. At least not in the English language. So where did it come from? Apparently, it comes from the Latin word gradi, which means “to go.” It makes sense if you look up the word egress, which means “the act of going out or leaving.”

There is absolutely no point to all of this…
