A brief update

It’s been about three weeks since my last post and I really don’t have much to say here, but I wanted to update everyone on where I am with the writing. I am sure you are all very concerned about whether or not I will be able to keep up the brutal pace I’ve set for myself. Well, thus far, I am right on track. As of today, I have written 71,126 words. My goal for today is 72,500, which is definitely reachable. Those seventy thousand plus words take up 113 single-spaced pages. That’s a lot of writing for only 68 days.

On related writing news, I’ve been thinking of taking a short story writing class at the 92nd Street Y in November. By then I should have finished the first draft of my current novel and will need a little break from it. If I take the class I will be sure to post the products of my learning on Spec’s Story Time.

Sorry to have abandoned the blog lately, I appreciate everyone being supportive and not bugging me at all about my lack of posts. Once October ends, I promise to return to my previous posting prowess. Until then, I’ll try to placate you with mindless intermittent posts like this.
